Nanook came to us from a family that knew he needed something different. He seemed a bit sad when we first got him, come to find out he wasn't feeling too well. The vet found a stick lodged in his jaw that had become infected and needed a tooth pulled. It only took a short few weeks for this guy to start acting like his normal self. All he needed was some TLC! Our best guess on Nanook's breed is a mix between a Dachshund and a Chocolate Lab. He has a sweet temperament and a playful spirit. The first thing you will notice about him is his beautiful eyes. He plays great with our two medium size dogs Jazmine and Nicole and is not intimidated by our largest dog Cheeto. We were told that he does not do well with cats at all, so we have kept him away from our smaller dogs as well. Nanook loves to spend his days outside in the yard! He doesn't really enjoy staying in his kennel for lengths of time, but he doesn't fuss when he is in there. Nanook loves treats, toys, and bones to chew on.

Many of our animals can be seen at our adoption center located at 5820 Richmond Rd, Texarkana, TX on Saturdays between 10 am - 3 pm.
