Smilin' Sadie Mae is a tan Chiweenie (Chihuahua-Dachshund mix), a little over 2 years old, and weighs around 9lbs.  Darling little Sadie was rescued from a hoarding situation and she is a bit reluctant to come out of her shell when first introduced to new faces.  After she opens up though, she has no problem letting you know that she is a princess and is to be treated as such.  

As a puppy, Sadie was not well socialized.  Because of this, she is somewhat distressed by loud noises and quick movements.  The furever family she is looking for will primarily be older kids (above the age of 10) and adults who can appreciate that what Sadie Mae needs most is patience, love, and spoiling...fit for a princess of course.

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  If the animal is too young to be altered (6 months or under), a certificate for their spay/neuter surgery is included in their adoption fee.  In accordance with Texas Health & Safety Code §828.002, sterilization is a mandatory requirement of adoptions through humane organizations and is included in our adoption contract.

Many of our animals can be seen at our Adoption Center located at 5820 Richmond Rd, Texarkana, TX on Saturdays between 10 am - 3 pm.  We also have cats available in the Cat Adoption Center inside PetSmart - Texarkana.  To make arrangements to meet any of our animals, please call us at 1-877-525-4825, option 2.
