A Pet Sponsor provides a gift of at least $200 to help support our adoption program. It can cost an average from $200 up to $2000 to provide care to an animal. These pets are often overlooked by adopters because of their age, health, or behavior challenges and stay with us for longer than 30 days.
The Sponsorship program was established to provide funds to help these dogs and cats. Examples of what a Pet Sponsor provides to one of our neediest pets:
Additional training to address behavioral issues or a consultation with a behaviorist
Routine medical care which includes spay/neuter, dental, Heart worm testing, and monthly heart worm prevention
Special medical expenses such as Heart worm treatment, orthopedic surgery, and other emergency situations
Help to make the transition into his/her home with some added outside help and/or boarding care.
HOW DOES SPONSORSHIP WORK?
Decide on the level of support to which you would like to commit, and fill out the mail-in form here.
After sponsorship, we will send you a thank you letter with our tax ID#.
